They Were Villains!- Cassidy

Marie Antoinette (1755-1793) and Louis XVI (1754-1793) were training troops for the war, so they spent money on the troops and not on the people of France. The people did not even have any food or a job or a home even, so most of the people died because the either starved to death or they just died because they could not take it. Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI were villains in this situation.

They spent the money for their people on the wrong things because they spent it on getting their troops ready for the war so they didn’t give any money to the people, so they lost their jobs. They wanted to win the war so they gave a lot of money towards it, instead of the people of France. They did not  really care about them because if they did they would have gave them money or something to help them get through it, and not let them starve to death. They should not have spent the money on the war, I understand that they wanted to win, but they should have thought about the people first.

The people of France thought that Marie was not a proper girl for France. They thought she was childish, she did not dress the right way, so the people judged her because they wanted her to be the queen everyone wanted her to be.  Marie had to address someone before they could talk to her because it was “proper” but Marie did not do that, she didn’t like to talk to people so her husband, Louis XVI told her that she needed to address people so they could talk to her. When Marie and Louis XVI first got married, he did not seem too interested in her or their relationship because when she tried to talk to him, he responded in short sentences. So they did deserve what they got for when the Bastille happened they had to escape.
